Built on Akros' patented GreenEdge digital isolation technology, the AS1854 eliminates slow, bulky optocouplers and integrates the functionality of up to nine separate ICs used in current solutions, including a third-generation IEEE 802.3af/at PD controller and a quad-output digital power DC-DC converter. The result is a cost-effective PoE and power management solution in a single package, significantly reducing design footprint and bill of materials. It features exceptional DC-DC efficiency and enables direct digital management of isolated primary-side power and secondary-side system power, enabling real-time, end-to-end green power applications.
